A place on Earth where the path of life is endless   The view changes, but the land never does. Mountain country. Ala-Bel Pass Pass in Winter. Western Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia. Huge masses of snow cover a beautiful landscape and merge with swift, icy mountain torrents.  There, the land seems to stretch out forever. Cold Winter. Steppes of Kazakhstan. On the bank of a small river, early in the morning, the trees were dressed in a glittering hoarfrost.  How you live is who you are. The Land of Towers. Bruce Canyon, Utah, USA. Rock towers of fantastic shapes are the result of disintegration and erosion of the upper layer of soil. After hundreds of thousands of years, water and wind have created these remarkable works of historic art.  Land born of fire. Sunset over the Far East. Kamchatka Peninsula. A sunset over the most beautiful volcanic mountains on our planet. Here peace flows into you as sunshine flows into trees.  A land of fairytales; you can ride for eternity and still not see it all. A Red Valley. Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia. Wild poppies in a Mountain Valley. A land of fairytales; you can ride for eternity and still not see it all.  The day starts before sunrise and stretches on until it is too dark to see. Sunset over the "Old Tassor" Pass. Western Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia. A magnificent landscape of the mountain country.  Ala-Too country is where the mountains tell time, and the rivers run endlessly. Mountain Lake. Western Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia. Alpine meadows and lakes of melted snow are favored by Asian nomadic cattle-breeders.  On days like this you take the long way home. Sunrise over the Kirghiz Mountains. A majestic sunrise was a reward for my persistence and the difficulties I faced travelling with my camera.  The places you remember are the ones which there are no words for. Mountain Fantasy. Southern China. There is only one place in the world where the mountain crests, covered with bamboo undergrowth, tower high, straight up from the plains, over which a roaring, ancient sea used to flow.  It is not where you end up, but what you do along the way. Autumn on a Mountain Lake. The solitude and silence of a reservoir emphasize the beauty of a formerly unremarkable site.  No roof but the sky, no walls but the wind. And some men call it home. A rose-colored day breaks over Volcanoes. Kamchatka Peninsula. Now and then the mountain awakens, erupting and covering the surrounding area with ashes.  The Great Himalayas, where the best stories can only be told by the men who lived them. Here, the sunset uncovers an amazingly beautiful and virgin mountain landscape.
